Gran Paradiso 4000 meters peak on ski touring with a Chamonix Mont Blanc mountain guide

Gran Paradiso 4061 metres in 2 or 3 days

Possible extension with the ascent on skis of the Tresenta or the Punta Rossa ( both 3600 meters) the third day.
If you dream of climbing a summit and skiing from it, this ski tour is for you! You summit the highest peak entirely in Italy, the 4061m Gran Paradiso, and have a ski descent with a vertical drop of over 2000m.

DAY 1: SKI TOUR  TO MOUNTAIN HUT Chabod or Victor Emmanuel (700 meters of vertical ascent): We start in the morning from Chamonix and arrive to the  small village of Pont (2000 meters) in the Gran Paradiso National Park. . We are in a National Park, no lift here and the ski tour is through a stunning untouched landscape. The ascent starts through a pine forest, quickly breaking above the tree line to give great views over the peaks surrounding the valley. The hutte (2700meters) is reached after 2 hours and half of skining up.  After time for a rest the Guide usually runs through some extra Alpine ropework such as coils.

DAY 2: SKI TOUR SUMMIT ASCENT OF GRAN PARADISO 4061m (amount of vertical ascent: 1361m,maximum altitude for the day: 4061m).  Wake up around 06.00 for breakfast.
The summit ascent takes around six hours from the hut and you usually reach the top just before midday.
The ascent is steady, but the snow can be a little steep and icy in places. The top fifty metres of the route involve you using crampons. The summit of Gran Paradiso is a rocky ridge with a 'Madonna' statue and prayer flags.
The views across to Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and Monte Rosa are amazing. After a short break, you descend back along the rocky ridge, and then there is a well-earned ski  to the Vittorio Emanuel or Chabod hutte at 2700m. Then you ski down to the Valley for the last 700 meters. After 2000 meters of skiing we will return to Chamonix.

DAY 3 (optional extension): :After your ascent of Gran Paradiso yesterday, today is flexible to take account of your performance on the route and your preferences. A few options are possible like the easy Gran Paradiso pass, other mountains like Tresenta  and Punta Rossa or an easy traverse towards the col du Grand Etret close to Val d'Isère.

Because of the conditions of the mountain, the level of the group and others, the guide could organize a different planing.
